Brow Lift
The brow (forehead) lift is a procedure designed to elevate the brow to a more youthful position relative to the eyelids. Brow lifts may also soften the lines and wrinkles on the forehead. Since most people focus on the area of the eyes when interacting with you, it can by itself make your entire face appear younger. Since the advent of newer minimally invasive techniques for brow lifts, it has become a much more common procedure.
The brow lift can be performed open or closed. In the open (Traditional) method, an incision is made either in the scalp or along the anterior hairline. This allows the forehead to be raised into a more youthful appearance. In the closed (Endoscopic) method, three small incisions are made in the scalp which allows for an endoscope to be placed beneath the forehead skin. The brow is raised and held in place with two dissolvable hooks. Scarring with the endoscopic method is very minimal.
